The GOP candidate and the Patriots quarterback are good friends.

While the New England Patriots quarterback has been dealing with the deflategate scandal, he has had the back up of the GOP presidential candidate from the first.
And Trump seems to have Brady'southward adoration. A red "Brand America Great Again" lid was spotted this weekend in Brady's locker at Gillette Stadium.
During today's Dennis and Callahan Interview Morning Show on WEEI, Brady confirmed that the lid was indeed from Trump.
"Now that he's running for president he sent me a hat and he gave it to RKK weeks ago," Brady said, calling Patriots possessor Robert Kraft by his initials. "So it found its way to my locker."
According to Brady, the ii first met back in 2002 and became keen golfing buddies.
"I've known him since 2002 when I judged one of his beauty pageants ... so I've known him for a long time," Brady said. "He ever gives me a call and different types of motivational speeches at different times."
Brady went on to say that Trump is "a proficient friend and we've had a lot of time on the golf course together."
The 38-year-onetime quarterback wouldn't say if he'd vote for Trump in 2016, but complimented Trump's accomplishments.
"It's pretty amazing what he'southward been able to accomplish as an entrepreneur, as a television star and now run for political office. People who tin can practise those types of things and transition into different arenas and nevertheless have that type of entreatment and carry-over. ... He'due south obviously appealing to a lot of people," Brady said of Trump. "He'due south a hell of a lot of fun to play golf with."
The feelings are mutual -- Trump likes to call Brady a "friend" of his - not to mention a "full winner."
As the NFL's investigation began into Brady'south alleged interest with the deflated footballs in the AFC Title game in January against the Indianapolis Colts, Trump brash Brady in a tweet to "Sue them Tom,"
And then when Brady's 4-game suspension by the NFL was overturned last week, Trump took to Twitter to congratulate his friend.
At a media availability from the Trump Tower the same twenty-four hours, Trump declared: "Tom Brady is a very expert friend of mine. He's a great guy. For those of you that don't know him, he's a very honorable and honest guy and a truly great athlete."
Trump besides confirmed he called Brady.
"He'southward then thrilled and so happy. Tom Brady, I recall what they accept done is terrible. ... Only I'm very happy for Tom," Trump said to the press surrounding him at Trump Tower.
Trump and Brady may have been even closer if Trump was the New England team'south owner. According to NESN, Trump was offered the opportunity to buy the Patriots back in 1988, but decided confronting it because of the team'due south debt of $100 meg.
But Trump is nevertheless rooting for the Pats although he's from New York.
Following the Patriots Super Bowl win, Trump tweeted that he loved that the Patriots won.
The GOP frontrunner even re-tweeted supporters who were calling for a Trump-Brady ticket. Just would the athlete leave football game behind and seek a political career?
In an interview in 2012, Brady admitted he follows politics, "relatively closely" and enjoys watching the "barrack that goes dorsum and forth."
"I don't think I'll ever get into politics. Maybe at one indicate I idea that might be something I desire to do, merely I think you have a step dorsum and you realize the impact that yous can take as a citizen," Brady said.
